Date of Event: 6 May 2025
The Strategic Priorities Hub (SPH) co-organized a three-day in-depth meeting alongside the regional NGO, #Karama, based in Cairo, and the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative from #New_York. This pivotal gathering brought together a dynamic cohort of women-led organizations from across the Arab world, including Palestine, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, and Lebanon. The discussions were enriched by the invaluable insights of H.E. Mervat Tellawy, Egypt's distinguished diplomat and politician, and H.E. Hilde Klemetsdal, the Ambassador of Norway to Egypt. The core of the meeting centered on a comprehensive exploration of Feminist Foreign Policy in today's global landscape, meticulously examining its enduring relevance, notable advancements, persistent challenges, and the pathways forward. A key focus throughout these vital dialogues was to deeply understand the specific implications and potential impact of Feminist Foreign Policy for both Arab and African nations, paving the way for more inclusive and equitable foreign policy frameworks in the region and beyond.

The Strategic Priorities Hub (SPH) commemorated International Human Rights Day with a specialized symposium titled "Human Rights at the Heart of Development". The event explored the intersection of national development strategies and contemporary rights issues, including the ethical governance of Artificial Intelligence, the "Business and Human Rights" framework for the private sector, and the role of youth in modernizing Egyptian legislation. By bridging the gap between legal theory and practical policy, the symposium highlighted SPH's commitment to fostering a multidimensional human rights discourse that aligns with the evolving needs of Egypt's socio-economic and technological landscape.
